And that's the general conclusion: there's nothing to spoil the game. The commentary is quickly repetitive, but it doesn't really matter. The presentation of the classic matches is inconsistent, but it doesn't really matter. Not everything in the game is licensed, but it doesn't really matter. What does matter is this: for a game, it's an almost uniquely calm and considered experience.

Actually, I thought Codemasters had gone completely doolally when I heard that they had dusted off the Brian Lara franchise for the first time in over five years, but as I write this Brian Lara tops the all format games sales chart, so I guess that I must know sod all about selling games.
