The Blitz series returns for another go-round of dirty hits, flashy celebrations, and trash talking on the football field. Blitz: The League features a new campaign mode that takes you off the field and into the front office.
Blitz The League review:
Midway continues to impress with hard-hitting and fast-paced arcade football title, but goes a bit too far with their mature "reality" presentation.
Blitz The League review:
This is easily the best of the Blitz titles, and Midway has given fans a truly fun and entertaining football game that is not hindered by rules and penalties. Blitz the League is not going to change anyone’s minds that were not fans of the previous versions, but fans of the series should eat this up. Blitz the League is a real winner. -- Brian Peterson
Blitz The League review:
EA buying the rights to the NFL trademark and the NFL teams to only appear in EA Sports brand games didn’t diminish Midway’s strive to make a great football game. I have to say that I never purchased a Madden game and never found any interest in football games, however, after playing Blitz the League, I have finally enjoyed throwing a virtual pigskin. Blitz the League has off-the-wall gameplay, great sound, immense replay value, and a deep campaign mode – but the graphical aspect hinders the game a little bit from reaching perfection.
