Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana review:
If you're still wanting a fix of sprite-based RPG action, then Atelier Iris fits the bill - it's an RPG, and it's sprite-based. It is also however a pretty bad game, as Damjan found out.

Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana review:
However, if it charms you, you'll be instantly hauled into its delightful world, desperate to help out in anyway you can - whether that's by supporting the lowliest street trader or tackling the powers and principalities that threaten its very existence.

Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana review:
Atelier Iris is fun, no question about it, but will it be remembered for anything more than its breakthrough with voices? In my opinion, this was just another "okay" title that soon will be left forgotten in my bookcase. - Lania S, Grrlgamer.com

Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana review:
I had a hard time doing that though because I have a pet peeve for repetitive gameplay and glitches in presentation. The game could have definitely benefited from a couple more months of ironing out but even so this is still one of the most enjoyable RPGs I’ve played in a long time.

Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana review:
Japanese developer Gust has been creating games in the Atelier series for years now, however none have made it to the US before. Leave it to Nippon Ichi Software America to finally do so though as they have finally brought the series stateside in Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana. Most known for their stable of cult-classic strategy-RPGs, NIS has mixed up their game with Atelier Iris, which just so happens to be a tried-and-true turn-based RPG. While the gameplay style deviates from what we typically see from NIS, fans of their prior works will immediately recognize the cutesy appeal, bizarre humor, old-school presentation and simple-yet-amazingly-deep-and-complex gameplay NIS’s titles are always lauded for.
