A third person action adventure game with a focus on close quarters combat. The "high concept" here is the setting of a living bio-organic planet that provides a stunning backdrop to this otherwise fairly conventional action romp. The player has the option of morphing between three forms that specialise in either hand to hand combat, ranged gunplay, or stealth play.
Alter Echo review:
Nevin's voice acting, for example, is about as fitting (and palatable) as a mouldy biscuit at a wedding cake exhibition. Together with the colourful, Saturday morning cartoon visuals, linear progression, our hero's apparent lack of interest in exploration and a fairly disobedient camera, we weren't all that bothered when it was all over after a relatively meagre six hours of morphing and mashing.
Alter Echo review:
Altar Echo is a game with a very cool concept but should have been in development for a few more months. Featuring awesome gameplay and very creative ideas, Altar Echo is definitely worth a try. With morphing puzzles, and plenty of action, this game if a load of fun to play. The game falls short in some areas unfortunately which really ends up letting players enjoy or hate the game.
