Stronghold 2 review:
Stronghold 2 will bring the the castle-sim and siege-warfare RTS series to life in glorious 3D. Stronghold 2 will also offer players a "castle-life" campaign, enhanced multiplayer capability and a new, innovative and exciting single player campaign ...

Stronghold 2 review:
Nearly as soon as they become slightly hungry or slightly miserable, they decided to pack up shop and bail out of your castle, taking some of your stock as they go. Everyone tries to steal everything, and the community really doesn’t work very well throughout the game. The Path of War is almost just as bad, with the ...

Stronghold 2 review:
Those of you who think that the game is for you already will not be disappointed. Those of you who aren't sure should probably at least give it some time to come down in price before taking a gamble with such an involved title. In the end, Stronghold 2 tries to do just a bit too much and ends up not really excelling at anything.

Stronghold 2 review:
Stronghold's release back in 2001 introduced us to a unique concept for a strategy game. Here we had a castle building simulation coupled with some RTS combat. You were capable of completely building up your castle while laying siege to those who opposed you through some large-scale battles.

Stronghold 2 review:
The Stronghold series has always been a bit different in the RTS genre; Castle management with siege combat thrown in for good measure is a mixture not often employed by RTS game makers, and with Stronghold 2, its third installment just released, 2KGames (Or Take2) and developer Firelfly don't intend to change this. However, with the move to 3D, a risky period in any game series, and the ever inclining expectations of the RTS fanbase, Stronghold 2 fails to impress.

Stronghold 2 review:
In case you still feel nostalgic about the Middle Ages, there is a way to visit them without suffering the ugly consequences of such a way of life (or the indignity of a Renaissance Festival). The sequel to the original Stronghold gives you the opportunity to enjoy the charms of the darkest period in human history without having to smell the stench.
