Ubi Soft did however, stay true to the legend of Holmes, so they'll earn brownie points with players.The graphics were truly something to be marveled at, if not for the lack of camera control. The voice acting: marvelous. The music and sound could have been better, but are sufficient for this game. A definite must-have for fans of the Holmes series.

The Secret of the Silver Earring starts off like most Sherlock Holmes stories do. Dr. Watson is reading aloud a letter sent to Holmes requesting his assistance with some point of mystery – in this case, the duo’s presence is requested at a dinner at the house of a wealthy entrepreneur. After the pair arrives, Holmes demonstrates his almost magical ability to read people and situations from as few clues as possible.

Playing as both the detective Sherlock himself and his no less-loved sidekick Dr Watson, the player must investigate their way around massive, sumptuous levels rich in graphical detail, which will delight knowledgeable fans and newcomers alike.
