If you missed the first outing in the series, don’t make the same mistake twice and do yourself a favor by picking this one up.

Dungeon Siege 2 review:
DS2 would be fine to those people who just like to get their stats up and boost their characters, but for those who want something a little deeper then this is best avoided.

Dungeon Siege 2 review:
While I am not certain how palatable it is to subsist on weapons and armor, a party will generally level faster, since the experience is being divided only among the non-pets.

Dungeon Siege 2 review:
Simple puzzles in the underground, or battles in the treetop against leaping monsters enchant. While the boss fights are a little uninspiring, and where your team-mate AI most frustrates, it's a high calibre of slashing. So – Dungeon Siege II. An Action RPG. Good. Extremely Good. Just not as good as Diablo II.Damn. Three strikes. I'm out.

Dungeon Siege 2 review:
Throughout the course of the game (as with all RPG titles) gamers are able to collect weapons upgrades and spells as they gain further experience through combat, but as well as that, characters are able to unlock several Speciality moves that can leave an opponent or group of opponents thoroughly devastated. Dungeons may be all that (and more) but Dungeon Siege 2 however, is another matter altogether as an anticipated RPG title. does it rock? Krusader 1 reports.

Dungeon Siege 2 review:
Any adversary with a certain resistance or shortcoming will be labeled as such, and some of them are so specific as to tell you, for example, that the creature “hates people that use healing spells.” Should it be weak to ice, bombard it with weapons and spells that do ice damage, and avoid using healing spells—or at least protect your nature mage.

Dungeon Siege 2 review:
You'll also come across reagents. When you speak with an enchanter, you can mix and match reagents to enchant these pieces of gear to your liking for a fee. Sadly, it's rare to find enchantments or enchantable weapons that are actually better than your existing magic items, and you can't enchant just any piece of equipment. It's fun to play with, but not very useful.

Dungeon Siege 2 review:
Dungeon Siege II casts players into a land deeply scarred by civil war, where they will lead an elite battle party against a vicious marauder hell-bent on bringing the world under his control, no matter the cost. Dungeon Siege II raises the bar for action-RPGs by introducing a deeper storyline, an extensive quest system and a new AI system creating more challenging and cunning foes.

Following up on the superlative smash of 2002, Dungeon Siege II takes the frantic pacing of its action/RPG predecessor and kicks it up a notch.

Dungeon Siege 2 review:
That said, I really did not have enough time to review Dungeon Siege 2. Sometimes, the line between reviewing a game and simply playing it for the very reason everyone else plays games - which is to have fun - is blurred, which is a good thing.

Dungeon Siege 2 review:
If you take too much damage, you'll get knocked unconscious, but as long as one of your characters is still coherent you can continue fighting. Eventually an unconscious character will wake up and be ready to fight again. However, if a character takes too much damage while unconscious, he or she will die. Page 2 of 2 »

Dungeon Siege 2 review:
And considering the 60+ hour quest, that is time, and money well spent. Of course many will go into this game forgoing the single player offing in favor of multiplayer escapades, and here again Dungeon Siege II delivers – as long as players can put up with a few limitations.
