All in all anyone who is interested in either WWII or RTS titles should be marking off the days until the 20th August release date (subject to change of course) and unless they really mess up with the voice acting side of things (which is very unlikely) D-Day is shaping up to be the contender to give CDV a heavyweight contest for the strategy king

Maybe it’s the fact that WWII veterans (God bless you all!)are quickly becoming a lost treasure to us, but WWII games seem to be one of thecornerstones of the computer game market these days. I have played quite a fewin the past few months, some good and some not. With a bit more spit and polishon this title, I would say that it should help to keep the genre alive andkicking for some time to come.

Digital Jesters has just released a new patch for its summer strategy title D-Day. The patch works on both German and English version and addresses issues such as compatibility for older AMD processors as well as other minor faults.

The bare bones for success are there. With a bit more polish and the intention to deliver the game as a game rather than what amounts to an interactive documentary when all is said and done, I am confident that the developers can pull off a better, more entertaining game in the future.
