Pikmin 2 review:
I have to admit, I expected Pikmin 2 to be a pale shadow of the original. I've been burned too many times by games released lazily and without sincerity in the last half of a console's life and it's made me cynical. However, fans of the original Pikmin as well as curious first timers won't be disappointed by what they find in this sequel. - Caitlin Lord, Grrlgamer.com

Pikmin 2 review:
It packs the same high quality gameplay that Nintendo is known for and brings with it a unique creativity that is refreshing in this time of rehashed concepts. Pikmin 2 is definitely game I am glad to have in my library and Gamecube owners should definitely give it a try.

Pikmin 2 review:
Instead you're limited to a number of co-op-specific challenge maps. Fortunately, these quickly turn out to be nicely thought out affairs; the idea is to retrieve various bits of treasure and find a hidden key, all against the clock, and it'll have you bellowing at your mate, your girlfriend, whoever, in no time. Just as it'll have you cheering when you win.

Pikmin 2 review:
However, like in the previous game you cannot work at night, so you have to get as much done as you can before nightfall, lest any Pikmin you leave behind get eaten by the nocturnal enemies.

Pikmin 2 review:
Unlike its precursor, Pikmin 2 is very much worth paying full price for, as the game experience is much longer, and the extracurricular modes have more longevity. It's not the greatest game Nintendo has ever released, but this is the kind of title that belongs in most Nintendo fans' collections, and that intelligent non-GameCube owners will yearn for. Isn't that enough to make you want it?

Pikmin 2 review:
Finally, after months of waiting, Europe has been given the opportunity to return to the world of the Pikmin. And what a world it is. Huge, lively, weird and wonderful beasts live around every corner. Spectacular, well designed environments hide hidden treasures.

Pikmin 2 review:
Nintendo returns to the quirky puzzle-related action of the Pikmin world with Pikmin 2. It's a great little title that sorts out a lot of the more annoying quirks of the original, but at the end of the day, it's still a title that will only attract those who really appreciated the original game.
