Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II review: Phantasy Star Online was released on the Sega Dreamcast in 1999 (while the system was still alive) and was a smash hit. Not long after, it released an update, of sorts –...

Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II preview: Episode II will be harder to play than Episode I, not through sheer weight of odds, but through the way you have to play it. They hope that the first game will act as a good starting point for players new to the series, whilst veterans can go straight for Episode II and reminisce quietly in Episode I on rainy Sunday afternoons.

Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II review: It's worth persevering with if you've got a regular group to play with online, but otherwise it just plain is not. Not any more. Too complicated for most humans, and it's going to be a lot more cost-effective on Xbox anyway, hence the score. Phantasy Star Online: Episode I & II screenshots (Xbox)
Cube Europe previews
Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II preview: Despite both graphical and some gameplay flaws, and a not so intense story, this game is amazing with a modem. Play it online, and learn how well the Sonic Team has handled the pressure of producing the GameCube’s first online game. Let’s hope there’s more in the pipeline, from Nintendo itself because games like PSO seem to be the future.Available March 7th 2003©
Cube Europe previews
Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II preview: All in all this game in on the top of my most wanted Gamecube games for 2002. With great competition such as the newly announced Final Fantasy 11, which is rumored, to have online capabilities also let's hope Phantasy Star Online is the consumer’s choice. Overall my anticipation level for Phantasy Star Online is a great 9/10.©

Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II review: Just remember to do your homework, because Advanced-Gamer takes no responsibility for the chores you may shun while getting one of your online fixes. If you are a GCN owner and are starved for an online experience, this might be your only way out. If you aren't a fan of RPG's, dungeon crawling, and item collecting, don't buy this game. Happy Hunting!Overall: 8.6
