NBA Live '06 review:
I was tempted to copy and paste my review of NBA Live 2005 into this review of NBA Live 06 because that’s essentially what EA did. From soup to nuts this is the same game as last year, featuring the same array of modes and delivery as well as a largely unchanged control scheme.

The All-Star Weekend is announced by Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith, who often provides humorous lines.With NBA Live 06, EA Canada has defined the series as even more arcadelike than previous versions. While not a full five-on-five NBA Street, NBA Live 06 features just enough arcade elements to keep the game interesting while still remaining a full blown basketball simulator.

When Steve Nash passed behind his back, it seemed that they were just as likely to be picked off as the regular passes, while Peja's high-arcing rainbow shots didn't guarantee a basket. Although it still needs a few improvements, the Freestyle Superstar mechanic is one of the most exciting additions made to the NBA Live series in years.

NBA Live '06 review:
The Xbox offers the best visuals of the three by providing the most detail in character models. Meanwhile, the PlayStation 2 and GameCube lag behind noticeably in this regard.
