Mario Party 7 review: The seventh iteration crams even more mini-games than you care to count, but sadly shies away from offering something truly innovative for loyal Mario fans.

Mario Party 7 review: If you're not a Mario Party fan, there is no chance that this game is going to change your mind. It's such a shame that Nintendo - the creator of Mario Kart, which is arguably the most fun you can have with platonic friends - just can't seem to sort Mario Party's problems out, even for the seventh instalment in the series. Roll on number eight, eh...

Mario Party 7 review: This game is perfect for its intent, parties. On your own, you could probably go through it all fairly quickly. That's not really the intent of the game though. When it comes to parties, the hours of fun are pretty much unlimited. It's a game that never really seems to get old when you're playing with others. - Megan Parker, Grrlgamer.com

Mario Party 7 preview: Despite innovative ideas such as 8 players and the microphone peripheral, how long will people continue to buy a repetitive concept? I hope that Nintendo will be able to offer something fresh rather than recycle passé designs. For those who have no qualms about adding this to their collection, expect the party to get started this November.

Mario Party 7 review: That's frustrating, but on the plus side, it means that anyone can play regardless of skill. Kids can play with their parents, and adults can play at a party no matter how inebriated they are. In fact, Nintendo would never admit it, but Mario Party makes a great drinking game ... just for the record.

Mario Party 7 review:   Just keep in mind that while Hudson keeps adding more fluff to the game, they still haven’t ironed out flaws with the basic formula of the series and Mario Party 7 suffers for it.Someone needs to tell Hudson we ain’t gonna party like it’s 1999 forever.

Mario Party 7 review: However, his compulsive level of sameness is counterbalanced by the fact that (besides the Mario Party series) there are not a lot of other games like this on the GameCube these days--or anywhere else, for that matter.

Mario Party 7 review: + Multiplayer still has great appeal here, especially with up to 8 player capability.+ 65 new mini-games are introduced, and some are fun and hunker back to Nintendo's past.+/- Graphics and sound hold up, but won't exactly scream "The best Mario Party EVER!"- Microphone games are again not up to snuff, and seem to rely on awkward timing.

Mario Party 7 review: Mario Party spins its wheels for the seventh year in a row, though the formula will still prove enjoyable for some casual group gaming.
