The game is a bit overwhelming at times, but by and large this is the title that people with withdrawal symptoms of the old days would love to get their hands on. Solid visuals and sound effects paint the background.

Conclusion - 9.0This great game gives something that you can always play. Bored? Pop in Ikaruga and play for half an hour or so. Grab a friend and play 2 or 3 games, see how far you can get. This fast paced fun shooter is something you can always come back to and play for a bit. Is it worth the 50 bucks? In my opinion, yes, but lucky for you it only costs 40.

Ikaruga review:
There are eight digital directions, yet the control stick feels very comfortable and accurate. The three button functions are configurable -- they are placed by default so that a player can hit any combination of them at any time, which is also a necessity. Ikaruga is awesome, but it's not for gaming weenies. You must be at least this tall to ride.
