The next iteration of EA's popular boxing game is coming to consoles, complete with online play. Fight Night Round 2 also features new options, upper and lower body moves, and a new Cutman mode.
Fight Night Round 2 review:
Playing with friends is even more fun after you’ve created boxers in their likeness so you’re beating up a familiar face. You might argue that we should’ve been able to play Fight Night 2004 on the Cube as well, but this game improves on 2004 in so many ways it’s hard to complain.
Fight Night Round 2 review:
The GameCube version lacks online support, which would have been an excellent addition, but a full version of the classic Super Punch-Out has been included to appease the broadband masses. There is no doubt that enough has been added to make this game a must buy for fans of the original. Likewise, anyone who fancies himself an enthusiast of the sweet science would be foolish to pass this up.

Rounding up the audio is a few lines from your trainer, who will prep you in between rounds.Final Night Round 2 improves on an already engaging game. The gameplay is stellar, something that is only made better by the kick-ass graphics. Gamecube fans will have a blast playing Super Punch-Out. Fight Night Round 2 will let you go head-to-head with the best of boxing including Bernard Hopkins, Middleweight Champion of the World and cover athlete for EA SPORTS Fight Night Round 2, as well as legendary boxers Muhammad Ali, Evander Holyfield and Joe Frazier.

Although I will admit Fight Night Round 2 leaves plenty of room improvement, it still is an amazing game on its own merits. The improvements to this year's game are extremely impressive and I think will make fans very satisfied. For those who have not tried this series yet or are wondering if this version is worth the upgrade, my answer to that is that if I was you I would go out and purchase the game, it is one that will keep you happy for quite sometime.
