Donkey Kong Jungle Beat review:
Each crest is equal in value - to unlock new worlds and levels you need certain amounts of crests, the number of which are never out of reach.Pretty soon, some fatal flaws become apparent. First of all, the game is seriously short. If you just sat down and played, you ...

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat review:
Here is a title whose deep gameplay requires unique hand-eye coordination skills and sharp mathematical prowess. That is, if you enjoy that kind of thing. But if you're a perfectionist like me, who wants (with reasonable effort invested) to be able to walk away from a game with 100% recorded on your memory card, you might want to give Jungle Beat a rent to see if it,s worth frustration due to lack of closure. Completist gamers who venture into this Donkey Kong country are sure to be handed a cluster of tough bananas. - Michelle Thurlow, Grrlgamer.com

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat review:
The thing that I think speaks best for the game is the fact that even though it was a shallow game, I still like it and want to go back and play it again. I want to go back and get the gold crest on each level. So for all you people with a GameCube out there, give it a try. I think you'll enjoy yourself. Donkey Kong Jungle Beat review:
Overall, the game is very innovative in gameplay due to the controls. It is a typical 2-D platform game, but its innovation comes from using the DK Bongos to control Donkey Kong. However, if there had been any more innovation, it might not have worked so well. Despite the lack of replay value it is a solid game that is sure to provide many hours of entertainment.

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat review:
But with Jungle Beat, it just seems a lot more challenging having to count your beats as well as mess the boss up. While each boss fight you’ll encounter will have its thrill, it’ll all be gone soon enough. Once you blaze through the first ten levels or so, the bosses will start to repeat. You’ll end up wondering where exactly Nintendo got innovative in this one.

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat review:
DK plays headliner once again in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, a game that uses the bongo controller introduced in Donkey Konga as a rhythmic ape-guidance system. The bongos work like giant D-pad buttons: smacking the right bongo moves Donkey Kong to the right, smacking the left one moves him left, and smacking both bongos together makes the big monkey jump. Clapping orders him to attack.

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat review:
99 bundle pack being sold. At that price I still recommend the game, but the higher price is easier to swallow if you’re planning on buying the Konga music games. No matter what, be sure you get a chance to at least try out Jungle Beat. Ask a friend to play or visit a retailer with the demo. Once you play it I think you’ll be eager to buy it. -- Craig Majaski

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat review:
On par with many Nintendo games of late, this title has great graphics to go along with something other gaming companies can learn, innovation. Now dust of those bongos and tap them once again!

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat review:
Why they changed it, I have no idea. But it’s taken a turn for the worst.Overall Jungle Beat has impressed me; it wasn’t just another game to use the bongos. Nintendo have harnessed the technology they had and used it to great effect. Although it has some drawbacks and it isn’t quite as good as previous outings from the Kong it is still a good platformer.

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat review:
It’s been a long time since we had a great action game starring Donkey Kong (I’m not counting DK64), and Jungle Beat makes a strong case for this big ape to stick around for many years to come. As much as Nintendo has done for 3D gaming, here is evidence that they still know how to make excellent 2D platformers. Mario, you’re on deck.

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat review:
There's something about the SNES Donkey Kong Country that makes us feel nice and snug. Okay, so the later games became quite tedious, but that first game was magic. The N64 version completely ripped the heart out of the series (easily Rare's worst N64 title), and everyone turned their heads to the GameCube version, which turned out to be Donkey Konga.
