It doesn’t live up to its older brother at all and its simplifiedtrick system is a big disappointment. It’s not a bad game though by far, thefast pace of the courses and the amount of unlock able content have a fairamount of appeal. Fans of snowboarding and fans of the original 1080 will findmore than enough to warrant the purchase of this title.

Which is quite fast considering your standing on a wooden board. It all adds to what seems to be a more advanced and 'better' 1080 than the original. Its like growing old with grace. Only this time with snow. With a bigger catalogue of adrenaline kicking tricks and mulitplayer options. 1080 Avalanche is shaping up to be the best racing game on snow. Or maybe even ever.©

To keep your balance you have to spin the control stick in 360° turns. In general, the gameplay seems to be very polished, and it should give every player a solid snowboard simulation experience. Watch out for this game, it’ll surely be among the best, if it won’t be the best snowboarding game of 2003. Prepare for a worthy sequel and keep your eyes peeled for more info.©
