Zatch Bell! Electric Arena review:
A cool companion piece to its console big brother, Bandai’s Zatch Bell! Electric Arena is a fast-paced 2D fighting game geared more towards the anime’s fan base of 10-year olds (and slightly up) than those who crave more serious fighters available on the market. This Game Boy Advance title shares a few aspects from Zatch Bell! Mamodo Battles, such as the wacky character designs, solid, colorful visuals and simple to grasp control scheme. You’ll also be unlocking odd items that show up in the game’s gallery as well as playing four mini-games of increasing difficulty. While the game certainly isn’t very deep, it’s lengthy enough to toss into the car with the kid for that long drive to grandma’s house and back. Make that a gentle toss, a pat on the head, cookies and a juice box or three for that road trip... we don’t want Child Protective Services coming down here and saying we’re advocating violence (or ESRB-sanctioned Mild Comic Mischief, for that matter) against the wee ones.
Zatch Bell! Electric Arena review:
Zatch Bell!: Electric Arena captures the personality of the show, but doesn't offer much in the way of engaging gameplay.
