Anyone who is a fan of Mario or RPGs owes it to themselves to give this game a try. Mario & Luigi: Super Star Saga is definitely a worthy successor to Super Mario RPG, and we can only hope that more games like this will appear in the future.

Mario even od’s on something called an “invincishroom.” But don’t be lulled in. They fix all these problems with, guess what, more drugs. This is a far cry from an after school special, or even that episode of Saved by the Bell where Jesse gets hooked on speed. Nintendo, you may have tricked the rest of America, but not me. Not me.

I honestly had a hard time putting this game down and really found it to be one of the most enjoyable experiences to be had on the GBA. The presentation is charming, the writing is witty, the control is well implemented, and the game is simply a lot of fun. If you own a GBA, this game had best be on your holiday wish list, because it is simply one of the best RPGs on the GBA to date.
