Fantastic 4 review:
With the release of the summer blockbuster Fantastic Four, the release of a game based on the movie’s characters and likenesses was inevitable. And here we are, served...
Fantastic 4 review:
On the whole, Fantastic 4 for the GBA is a solid beat-'em-up and a respectable movie-to-game translation. Players that manage to forgive the relatively weak presentation will probably have a lot of fun with it.
Fantastic 4 review:
There are so many superheroes in the comic book world that it sometime becomes hard to register who is who. Another major problem is the over saturation of comic-book translations coming to our local movie theatres. Okay, well maybe not a problem, persay, but rather becoming a summer blockbuster season trademark. Therefore, it was only a matter of time before Marvel decided to make a movie based on the group that arguably helped usher in the entire mantra of superheroes: The Fantastic Four. This flagship comic franchise introduced us to the crime-fighting alter egos of Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben. Like most other summer blockbusters based on a comic book, you can expect that there is a videogame not too far behind its tracks. Fantastic Four provides some decent beat-em-up action, but sadly, the game doesn’t hold up to the "fantastic" abilities of the team itself.
Fantastic 4 review:
Otherwise, you’d be better off playing an original action game.I was especially disappointed with this game because the Fantastic 4 games for the other platforms look so good. The money thrown at developing a GBA port of these games is money that could have been spent producing good games.

Likewise, the audio does fine. The soundtrack isn’t amazing but it gets the job done. The sound effects share the same fate – they lack that “wow” factor but are certainly good enough.Fantastic 4 offers four characters, a repertoire of moves, and compelling level design that culminate in an engaging game. Though a bit simplistic, the game does make for good portable gameplay.
