Spidey levels' repetitive nature is balanced out with the unique Green Goblin segments. Overall: 7.0 A very fun DS game ideal for simple pick up and play moments. This title is packed full of enticing action but short and clumsy at times. Spider-Man: Battle for New York is nothing to write home about, but is definitely worth checking out if you're a big Spider-man fan.

The dialogue is pretty good, too.Spider-Man: Battle for New York boasts fun 2D gameplay mixed with an impressive 3D presentation. The game’s biggest fault is that it hasn’t made any significant strides since last year, but it remains one of the most fun 2D action games on the Nintendo DS. It won’t win over any new fans, but it should retain its existing ones.

Spider-Man is back in action on the Nintendo DS with his latest game, Battle for NY. Similar to last year's Ultimate Spider-Man, this latest adventure features the same 2.5D perspective and classic beat-em-up gameplay, but there's a brand new story, the ability to play as Green Goblin, and some unannounced mini and multiplayer games.

As you'd expect, Spidey's web shooters can be used in a couple different ways. He can web-swing to bridge treacherous gaps, or to zip instantly onto a wall or roof. Firing web bullets at foes will encase them in the super sticky webbing, making them defenseless targets.
