New Super Mario Bros. is a great addition to anyone’s DS library. The game manages to recreate the awesomeness of past titles while making sure it feels like a new game. It’s definitely recommended and I’ll even go as far as to say that it is essential to have in anyone’s DS library.

One could complain that it doesn’t try to incorporate the touch screen to the degree that Super Princess Peach did, but I’m glad that Nintendo decided to remain true to the spirit of its greatest franchise. NEW Super Mario Bros. review:
This one never really aims forward that much. Mario Bros. is also better, but I would argue that it is about as good as the bastard child of the series, Super Mario Bros. 2. As of right now, it is the best game of 2006 so far, mainly because I had a great time going back and playing the mustachioed one in a great piece of nostalgic novelty. This is the best Mario entry in ten years.
