Twenty-seven hours. Without getting stuck. It's HUGE. It's like getting the most wonderful box of chocolates, and then finding that there's a second layer of them underneath the first tray. And then a third. And a fourth. I didn't mention this until now, but it's unquestionably the best DS game so far. And I suspect it will be the best for a long time to come.BACK TO ADVENTURE!

In this sequel to Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, the brothers travel back in time to retrieve Princess Peach, only to come face to face with baby versions of themselves, the princess and Bowser. Teaming up with their young selves will soon send Mario and Luigi on a quest of lunatic proportions as players must control both the adult AND baby versions of the Mushroom Kingdom heroes.

It’s very easy to recommend Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time to any DS owner out there looking for a well-constructed and enjoyable game. Taking all of the great aspects of the first Mario & Luigi game and adding not only dual screen support but also a wealth of new gameplay ideas, the developers have concocted a thoroughly entertaining and challenging adventure that proudly carries on the tradition of the many Mario-inspired RPGs. The game is a little on the easy side, but does offer a fairly long quest that should keep RPG fans of all ages busy for many hours. While some may complain about the fact that the game doesn’t make much use of the DS’ touch screen capabilities, the game is so much fun to play, you won’t even likely notice.

Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time is an altogether enjoyable gaming experience that mixes the right amount of classic Mario style with enough new content to keep veteran fans interested. Although it’s missing much of the self-referential humor that made Paper Mario and Superstar Saga hilarious trips through Mario’s past, the script still manages to entertain.

Although most of the game is played on the DS's bottom screen (the top screen displays a map of your current region) with the brothers carrying their younger forms around piggyback style, you will frequently have to send the babies off on their own, which typically involves the types journeying into areas that the big boys can't fit into.
