Lost Magic review: In LostMagic, peace in the world is challenged by a new evil force. The only hope lies with the wizard Isaac and the seven magic wands left behind by the creator. Monsters wield unimaginable power in this realm, and as Issac, the player will use the stylus to unleash magic spells and command numerous monster squads in magical battles.

Lost Magic review: In addition to casting offensive magics, you can capture monsters to add them to your forces for later battles. Monsters, too, grow in power through experience, so it pays to keep them alive. As in any good RPG, it's generally satisfying to recruit new allies and watch your own powers grow.

Lost Magic review: If you can ignore some bothersome details of an otherwise excellent battle system (as well as the difficulty) then I urge you to give Lostmagic a try. While it's not great, it is a welcome addition to the Nintendo DS' library and a great second start for a system with few RPGs.-- Kyle Gatlin

Lost Magic review: Lost Magic as a product is furiously frustrating. The game pitch works wonderfully in the realm of theory but in practice its problems undermine most of the flashes of brilliance. Like a collection of absolutely amazing ideas all thrown together in a random and inelegant way. It seems that Taito, in calculating the sum of its game's parts got the workings all wrong.
