Kirby: Canvas Curse review:
Kirby Canvas Curse is probably the most complete experience on the DS at the moment. It combines the old school platforming / puzzle gameplay with the new school DS touch screen controls, and manages to do both in a way that's both fun and new. In the end, Canvas Curse is paving the way for the future DS games that can make use of the system's unique abilities and produce high quality games that will raise the bar for the genre, hopefully for the Kirby series as well.

Kirby: Canvas Curse review:
It’s difficult to over-stress how wonderful it is to have a complicated and intricate platform game that’s so remarkably relaxing to play. It’s a rare treat, and very appreciated. Kirby: Cursed Canvas comes from nowhere, but deserves to go everywhere. It’s another absolute proof of the validity of the DS as a unique gaming platform, and sets a new challenge bar for relaxing platform gaming.

Kirby: Canvas Curse review:
Overall, one of the best things about KCC is the fact that you can play the boss levels whenever you want after you beat them in story mode. So while the game itself is short, it has plenty of replay value.KCC is a must-have game for any DS owner. Its awesome gameplay and full support of the DS's touch screen make this game a complete winner.

And it couldn't really be done on any other platform, yet it doesn't sacrifice its gameplay for the sake of short-lived gimmicks. So if you're in the hunt for a new DS game, Kirby Canvas Curse is a great choice.

Kirby: Canvas Curse review:
The sound effects are also some of the best I’ve heard on the DS also. Kirby’s old cries have been removed though which is something that I do miss. But the new ones do quite easily make up for it. Kirby truly is an outstanding game. It just takes everything the DS can do, throws it together and makes it work. The controls, the level design and the presentation are astounding.©

No DS owner should be without this game, and if you’re a critic who has waited on the fence in regards to Nintendo’s potently-fun portable, it’s probably about time you considered picking one up.

Kirby: Canvas Curse review:
Besides, it’s all about style – or stylus. You don’t use the D-pad or face buttons at all. Rather, you control Kirby by drawing rainbow colored lines on the touch screen. He’ll normally roll lazily through a level, but the lines give him direction, purpose and speed. He’ll follow these faithfully; if you draw loops or near vertical lines, the pink ball will roll accordingly.

Kirby: Canvas Curse review:
The game has a nice difficulty level that ramps up sharply toward the end. Kirby is a joy to play and packed with fun levels that gamers of all ages will enjoy. If your Nintendo DS has been collecting dust, Kirby is the best reason out there to crack it back open and have a great time. I’ve never been much of a Kirby fan, but Canvas Curse has made a believer out of me. -- Craig Majaski

Kirby: Canvas Curse review:
Canvas Curse is strong in every aspect it needs to be: in gameplay, in presentation, and most importantly it takes full advantage of the Nintendo DS' stylus control. Anyone with either an interest in a refreshing take on the classic platform genre or simply looking for something different will definitely find complete satisfaction in this one. Truly a must-play.
