Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow review:
A solid addition to the Castlevania series which will make Symphony of the Night fans the happiest they've been since Symphony of the Night.

Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow review:
Not since Symphony of the Night has a Castlevania soundtrack sounded as crisp or well written as this one. Beautifully orchestrated music echoes through the DS speakers, changing as you enter each new area, while retaining that trademark Castlevania musical styling that has been somehow missing in each of the Game Boy Advance Castlevania releases. The sound effects in the game perfectly compliment the foreboding settings in the game, with enemies all sporting their own individual moans or screams.
It's almost a forgone conclusion that most Castlevania fans are going to embrace this game right off. Not only does it take some of the better aspects of the Game Boy Advance series of Castlevania games, but it also manages to expand upon those ideas with several unique touch screen functions that add even more originality to an already established formula. While some developers of Konami still struggle to bring the Castlevania experience into the world of 3D gaming, other members of their development teams have just created the product that once again illustrates just how well the game can still be executed in a 2D format. If you've been looking for a reason or excuse to buy a Nintendo DS system, you've just found it.

Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow review:
Konami has released Castlevania title after Castlevania title for nearly Eighteen years now. Throughout the years there have been highs (Symphony of the Night) and lows (Legacy of Darkness). What’s allowed Konami to release these various incarnations, and what put Castlevania on the map was its original release back on the Nintendo Entertainment System. This 2-D side scroller was difficult, had innovative gameplay for its time, and had more enemies than you could shake a whip at. In their latest release for the Nintendo DS, Konami has resurrected this 2-D formula with Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, giving it enough upgrades and extra content to make anyone that has had a falling out with the series rekindle their love for all things Dracula.

Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow review:
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow doesn’t revolutionize the series but it is a very solid evolution from the Gameboy Advance games. The modernized graphics, outstanding sound package, solid gameplay, and cute use of the Nintendo DS makes for a very compelling game. One of the best the Nintendo DS has to offer.

Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow review:
No matter what you think of what has become of the Castlevania series on the consoles, you should not miss Dawn of Sorrow - it is one of the best in the series. With other great DS titles on the horizon, this title should push you over the edge to purchase a DS. -- Brian Peterson

Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow review:
At one point, you're faced with a sliding puzzle that controls the rooms - this is far more of a microcosm for whole game. It's not that it relies on a healthy suspension of disbelief to overcome its contrived elements; it's about bringing order to foggy chaos. This, it does with aplomb. And then it's about doing the whole thing again with another character. Seriously. Buy a stake.

Soma’s story was first told in Aria of Sorrow, and despite the chronological inferences, Dawn of Sorrow is that game’s sequel. It turns out Soma escaped his fate of becoming the new Dracula, although that throne was never filled.

Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow review:
Add this to the amount of replay value you already have, and you have a game that is very, very rare. It has its downfalls, but the highlights outshine them so much you hardly even notice the title’s faults. This is by far the best Castlevania game to date, and it should find a place in our hearts, as well as our game libraries.

Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow review:
It's a delightful trip through a macabre fun house full of blood and assorted horrors that should not be missed by anyone who enjoys playing games, that is, unless you're just sick of 2D Castlevania. Then I suppose this one isn't for you. If that's the case, don't purchase this game. And don't be my friend, either.

Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow review:
The more of one soul you collect, the more powerful its effect is. You can even infuse souls to weapons to make them more powerful -- and there are ton of weapons here. In the first few minutes, I already had a half-dozen knives, knuckles, and maces to choose from.
