"The immortal series jumps into dual-screen territory." by Sim |
Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow preview:
Castlevania DS is looking like it’ll be just as addictive and immersive as the last 4 games in the series, continuing to use the largely successful and safe formula first established in Super Metroid and further elaborated upon with Igarashi’s masterpiece Symphony of the Night. Soma makes his return in August across both Europe and North America.

Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow preview:
Not just for the gameplay, characters, story, and art, but for the musical symphonies that play in the background. The overall feel of Dawn of Sorrow will not disappoint, in fact, it will become that one must have game for DS owners. Not only will you be Trick or Treating this Halloween, but fighting evil with your stylus as well.

Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow preview:
The top screen always displays the map. Castlevania n00bs won't see the big deal in this, but you'll quickly realize how much time this saves, instead of hitting select every time you want to peep the map. More flashy is the ability to interact with objects onscreen with the stylus, to do things like clear blocks and make steps.

Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow preview:
Even the audio has reportedly been bumped up a notch.Although it’s a move forward for the series, Castlevania DS’ best attributes are its steps back towards the greatness of Symphony of the Night. If Konami get themselves a snazzy subtitle, they’ll probably be onto a winner. We’ll keep you posted anyway. ©
