This helps to keep Bomberman from having to start over from scratch if his beefed-up hero bites the dust. Instead, the player can dip into the inventory and quickly get the intrepid hero back up to snuff to take on whatever comes his way. Although this kind of interaction is fun, the single-player experience still seemed weak and uninspiring.
