Battles Of Prince Of Persia review:
The card system is a good idea, but there is simply too much to it, and could of done with being simplified down. The tutorial tries to explain the system to you, but it’s just as uninteresting as the story itself. Definitely a game for the hardcore strategy game fan that has exhausted the other far superior games in the same genre on Nintendo DS.

Battles Of Prince Of Persia review:
The game can become quickly repetitive and tiring for some gamers, while others will be able to unearth the hidden depth that the game does contain. It can become somewhat addicting to a degree, as you’ll be scratching your head in the later levels trying to figure out a way to defeat the enemy.

Battles Of Prince Of Persia review:
The biggest decision you'll have to make though is this: do you send the Prince into battle to pick off the weak units, protect him, or sneak him round the back to take out the general? It's entirely up to you. It's pretty clichéd and predictable stuff, all told. But does this make it any less addictive? In a word: no.

Battles Of Prince Of Persia preview:
I hope that this title will offer clarity behind the Prince's origins, Dahaka's background and the current state of affairs for the kingdom of Persia as well as neighboring empires. With the distinctive dual-screens to aid you, it will be interesting to view how fate will be decided in December.

Battles Of Prince Of Persia review:
Eventually, using these cards in tandem can become relatively complex, since some of them come at a cost. For example, some cards allow you to select a certain number of enemy units to be unusable for the hour — but you must select two of your own units to remain out of commission.

Battles Of Prince Of Persia review:
Underneath its modest looks and intimidating, complex battle system is a turn-based strategy game that is surprisingly fun and satisfying.

Battles Of Prince Of Persia review:
So while it's not hideous or unplayable, it constantly reminds you of a far better game you could be playing instead. Fire Emblem, AW, Magic: The Gathering, Go-Gi-Yo-Po-Poo (or whatever it's called, you freakish weirdoes)...It's like going out with someone who reminds you a bit of your first true love. They might be a nice enough person, but they can never hold a candle to Anna Lawrence.
