It's easy to imagine people getting bored of repeatedly racing the same circuits, and giving up in favour of something else. It's worth the effort of sticking with it though. Winning races and buying better motors is rewarding, the tracks are vastly different from each other, and there's something rather cool about weaving through traffic in a fully jazzed up Lamborghini Diablo.
