Advance Wars Dual Strike review:
Advance Wars brings RTS to a new level. Dual Strike improves all the great things that were in the previous Wars and brings in even more. All your favorite characters like Andy, Max, Nell, and others return to help fight back the Black Hole Army, which has speedily come back to power and invaded Omega Land, the new Dual Strike battlefront. Of course all new characters join the fight, like Jake, Rachel, and others, as well as new Black Hole COs.
The newest thing about Dual Strike is of course, the dual front, or DS battle. Here, you battle with 2 COs on 2 different screens, with you controlling the main front and your other CO controlling the secondary front. You can also control the second front should you wish to do so. This set up makes for twice the fun and replay ability.

Advance Wars Dual Strike review:
A slew of COs new and old make their appearance, as well, each with their particular battle specialty. Some of the new COs abilities are pretty obscure, but can be incredibly effective when paired with a more general-use CO. All in all, the systems, units, and COs work together to achieve a deep and nuanced sense of balance, and more ways to play than ever before.

In my opinion, this is the best game available for the Nintendo DS and one of the best strategy games of its generation. A must have for any DS owner and if you don't have a DS, this is a viable reason to get one.

Advance Wars Dual Strike review:
Advance Wars is a turn-based strategy game making its debut on the Nintendo DS. Players lead their new Commanding Officers to fend off the Black Hole Army's latest invasion. With massive battles that sweep across both of the DS screens, Advance Wars: Dual Strike will change the face of war forever.

Advance Wars Dual Strike review:
As long-term fans might expect, Intelligent Systems' uncanny knack of being able to come up with fresh ideas and more challenging maps and missions is the reason we keep coming back. Whether you've played it before or you're a newcomer wondering what the fuss is about, it stands out as one of the finest handheld games ever. Resistance is futile. Buy it, play it, love it.

Advance Wars Dual Strike review:
The game also keeps stats of EVERYTHING, including the amount of time the game has been on to how much money you've made in the game (and about 80 other statistics that are interesting).Overall, this game is amazing. The only flaw that made this game suck was the uneven matches in War Room. But still, I was hyped for it the moment I heard it was coming out, and it delivered fully. Go buy it. 9/10.

Advance Wars Dual Strike review:
For everyone else who takes even a mild interest in anything slower-paced, the game is a must own. The in-game timer says that I have poured 33 hours into the cart so far, and I estimate that I've completed half of what the game has to offer. DS owners who opt to skip Dual Strike are missing out on the most full-featured and addictive title released for the system yet.

Sound: 8/10Some well-composed tunes with pretty nice sound quality. But once again, nothing that will make you say “wow”.Replay Value: 9.7/10Unless you are easily frustrated, you will be playing this game for a very long time even just trying to finish the campaign mode once, let alone in other modes or multiplayer.Total: 9.5/10You simply don’t want to miss this game. Period.

Advance Wars Dual Strike review:
For example, Dual Strike’s single-player campaign is fundamentally the same as the one found in Black Hole Rising. The Black Hole army is still trying to take over the world, while the Orange Star, Blue Moon, Green Earth and Yellow Comet factions remain united against them.

Advance Wars Dual Strike review:
Nintendo’s Advance Wars series has been owning the hearts and minds of GBA strategy buffs for a couple of years now with its crazy depth, challenging gameplay and sheer addictiveness that makes it all but impossible to stop playing once you’ve started. For the series’ third handheld assault, Nintendo has cycled its sights over to the DS and what they’ve come up with is the absolutely brilliant Advance Wars: Dual Strike. Featuring a set of basic gameplay mechanics identical to the first two titles in addition to an even broader range of depth thanks to new characters, a new storyline and new play options that make full use of the two-screen format of the DS, Advance Wars: Dual Strike is far and away the best DS game to date.

Advance Wars Dual Strike review:
While there's still some wiggle room for improvement (Intelligent Systems could simplify multiplayer battles for quicker bouts, and either flesh out the combat mode or ditch it), the Advance Wars brand is fast becoming the standard against which other strategy games, handheld or otherwise, should be judged.
